The demanding tourists who like luxury, may choose among many hotels offering services of European standards.
After regenerating, we invite you to enjoy active recreation. Due to the variety of waters, the tourists visiting our region are familiar with the terms like sailing, canoeing, snorkelling, windsurfing or kitesurfing.
The Westpomeranian Region consists of approx. 185 km section of the Baltic Sea coast (almost half of the entire Polish coast), which, along with all of its advantages – sandy beaches, dunes, forests and shallow coastal lakes – constitutes the basis for the development of the recreational (sun-see-beach), active and professional tourism. Large areas of the lakelands (46% of the Region’s area), including 7 lakes above 1.000 ha, Szczecin Lagoon – are the basis for the development of the water tourism (sailing, canoeing, snorkelling, fishing, and also other forms of water sports, e.g. kitesurfing or windsurfing).
A unique reservoir of Westpomerania is the Szczecin Lagoon. It is located approx. 20 km north to the region’s capital – Szczecin. This place is open to the entire Europe – a part of the road from Paris, Basel and Berlin, leading to the Baltic itself. Its ports are in Nowe Warpno, Stepnica and Trzebież, and also others in the nearby reservoirs. Szczecin Lagoon is uniquely charming, with a diverse coastline, constituting a peaceful oasis on the one hand, and being the sailors’ windy paradise, on the other hand. It has many values which make it impossible for any true water recreation enthusiast to reject. The tourists will enjoy open waters, enabling them to admire the view of the far horizon, and also the beautiful cliffs, enriching its charm and incredible character.
The region is a place where the wind and water current are favourable to everybody, creating perfect conditions for the sailors, windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts alike. Here, you can begin your journey with the water or realise your passions and enhance your skills. The constantly developed campsites, marinas and ports are the places where the tourists can relax after their sports struggles. They can find repose in one of them and eat a crisp fish, freshly caught by the local fishermen, to supply the energy for another exciting day.
So, if you want to feel the real sea atmosphere, visit Westpomerania. Its friendly atmosphere and incredible character will make it impossible for you to imagine your next holidays without water adventures!
